An Egg-citing Easter Weekend!

Happy Easter everyone! What a busy weekend! It started Friday with decorating Easter eggs - sports themed eggs of course for my boys. Then Saturday morning we went with my sister, nephew, and parents to Portsmouth City Park for an Easter egg hunt sponsored by our church. It was less of a hunt and more of an Easter egg free-for-all. They got to play games and visit with the Easter bunny. There were over 3,000 people who turned out for this shin-dig. It was INSANE!! The boys loved it! As you can see, my boys were so very handsome Easter morning. After church, we went to Tammy's house for lunch. I made a cake that was supposed to look like an Easter basket, but I'm not so sure that's what it looked like. You be the judge. Alex read the Easter story to Caleb and Eli, who actually sat and listened. Then Caleb wanted to read it. This version was very different, due to the fact that Caleb cannot read. After the story, it was off to the backyard for yet another Easter egg hunt. I have plastic eggs everywhere in my house. Before we headed home, we stopped by the beach to enjoy the playground and just have some Weissinger family time. I am so glad that this week is spring break. It will take at least that long just to recuperate from this weekend!

Looks like you guys had a great time. Is your house covered in easter grass like mine is? Everytime I think it's all gone, I find more.
