I kissed a girl and I liked it!

This was Alex's response when we asked him what he did in day camp today. I swear my heart stopped beating. Then he started laughing and said, "Just kidding. That's just a song I learned from a kid there." After double and triple checking to make sure he hadn't really kissed a girl, my heart started beating again. Boys!! Excuse me while I go check for gray hairs.

the more shocking thing about that is that the song is sung about a girl kissing a girl and liking it and that girl who recorded it used to be a christian artist and has lost her way a bit! AND it's a real catchy song!!! i hate that today's youth is listen to it. on another note, i'm glad alex is not kissing girls yet! AHHHHH!!!! i'm in denial about all of that! ;)

Oh Jen...just wait it gets worse! Wait until 'THE TALK'!!!!!
Rickys in 7th grade now and we had to have the talk in 5th grade! They grow up way to fast. He loves reminding me that in 2 months he will be a teenager and in 5 years he will be going to college!!!!!
I just remind him he cant kiss a girl until the preacher says 'I now pronounce you man and wife you may kiss the bride' and of course that wont be until he is 35 or 40! He just rolls his eyes at me!! :)
